Chloranthus fortunei[1] är en tvåhjärtbladig växtart som först beskrevs av Asa Gray, och fick sitt nu gällande namn av Hermann Maximilian Carl Ludwig Friedrich zu Solms-Laubach. Chloranthus fortunei ingår i släktet Chloranthus och familjen Chloranthaceae.[2][3] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[2]
