Trichomalus posticus[4] är en stekelart som först beskrevs av Walker 1834. Trichomalus posticus ingår i släktet Trichomalus och familjen puppglanssteklar.[9][10][11] Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[11] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[9]
