Taeniothrips inconsequens[1][2][3] är en insektsart som först beskrevs av Jindřich Uzel 1895. Taeniothrips inconsequens ingår i släktet Taeniothrips och familjen smaltripsar.[4][5][6] Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[6] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[4]
