Tät vitmossa (Sphagnum compactum)[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36][37][38][39][40][41][42][43][44][45][46][47][48] är en bladmossart som beskrevs av Lamarck och A. P. de Candolle 1805. Enligt Catalogue of Life[49][50] ingår Tät vitmossa i släktet vitmossor och familjen Sphagnaceae, men enligt Dyntaxa[51] är tillhörigheten istället släktet vitmossor och familjen Sphagnaceae. Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[51] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[49]
