Sotvitmossa (Sphagnum papillosum)[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27][28] är en bladmossart som beskrevs av Lindberg 1872. Enligt Catalogue of Life[29][30] ingår Sotvitmossa i släktet vitmossor och familjen Sphagnaceae, men enligt Dyntaxa[31] är tillhörigheten istället släktet vitmossor och familjen Sphagnaceae. Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[31] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[29]
