Polyodontes maxillosus[1][2][5][9][10] är en ringmaskart som först beskrevs av Camillo Ranzani 1817. Polyodontes maxillosus ingår i släktet Polyodontes och familjen Acoetidae.[11][12][13] Arten har ej påträffats i Sverige.[13] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[11]
