Phobaeticus rex[2][6][5][8][7] är en insektsart som först beskrevs av Günther 1928. Phobaeticus rex ingår i släktet Phobaeticus och familjen Phasmatidae.[9][10] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[9]
