Hemimycale columella[1][3][6][7][8][9] är en svampdjursart som först beskrevs av James Scott Bowerbank 1874. Enligt Catalogue of Life[10][11] ingår Hemimycale columella i släktet Hemimycale och familjen Hymedesmiidae, men enligt Dyntaxa[12] är tillhörigheten istället släktet Hemimycale och familjen Phoriospongidae. Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[12] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[10]
