Pompano (Caranx crysos)[7] är en fiskart som först beskrevs av Mitchill, 1815. Pompano ingår i släktet Caranx och familjen taggmakrillfiskar.[8][9] IUCN kategoriserar arten globalt som livskraftig.[1] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[8]
