• "The head of the elephant pressing forward is a symbol of the will and determination of the people who will not be stopped in their attempt to venture into the future in pursuance of their set ideals"

This coat of arms was described and was licensed by right of the Constitution of the Republic of Venda in 1979. With the dissolution of the country in 1994, said constitution was revoked and is thus no longer valid.
