Catch Report - 17/07/11 - Farmland/Back Garden - Hertfordshire Another good catch, well considering the awful wet and blustery conditions it didn't fare too bad! I positioned the trap next to an outbuilding to shield it from the worst of the weather, this probably also shielded a lot of the light so the catch wasn't groundbreaking but still a first for the year in the shape of a beautifully fresh Lesser Broad-bordered Yellow Underwing. Also an Agapeta hamana that threw me for a while, it does look so different though and thought it may have been a different Aethes species I have yet to see!
