Procephalothrix filiformis[1][3][4] är en djurart som tillhör fylumet slemmaskar, och som först beskrevs av Johnston 1828. I den svenska databasen Dyntaxa[2] används istället namnet Cephalothrix filiformis. Enligt Catalogue of Life[5][6] ingår Procephalothrix filiformis i släktet Procephalothrix och familjen Cephalothricidae,[5][6] men enligt Dyntaxa[2] är tillhörigheten istället släktet Cephalothrix, och ordningen Palaeonemertea.[2] Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[2] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[5]
