New Wave of American Heavy Metal

New Wave of American Heavy Metal (NWOAHM) är en heavy metal-musikrörelse som har sitt ursprung i USA under mitten av 1990-talet[1][2][3] och har expanderat under 2000-talet. Några av banden som anses vara en del av rörelsen bildades redan i slutet av 1980-talet, men blev inte inflytelserika eller populära förrän det följande årtiondet.[1][2][3] Begreppet NWOAHM är en hänvisning till New Wave of British Heavy Metal-rörelsen under den senare delen av 1970-talet.[1][2][3]
