Aspidelectra melolontha[2][3][4] är en mossdjursart som först beskrevs av Landsborough 1852. Aspidelectra melolontha ingår i släktet Aspidelectra och familjen Electridae.[5][6][7] Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[7] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[5]
