Scaphyglottis livida^[1] är en orkidéart som först beskrevs av John Lindley, och fick sitt nu gällande namn av Rudolf Schlechter. Scaphyglottis livida ingår i släktet Scaphyglottis och familjen orkidéer.^[2]^[3] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.^[2]
