Blue Network. The Blue Network was originally owned and operate by NBC Radio. NBC was forced to sell its Blue Network in the early 1940s because it was ruled that having two networks, Red and Blue, constituted a monopoly. After the network was sold, it operated under the name of the Blue Network for some time before becoming known as American Broadcasting Company-ABC.
