Caption in Goudsmit, Alsos (pp. 174-175) reads: Alsos team dismantling "uranium machine" in cave at Haigerloch. Uranium cubes are in the center, surrounded by graphite. Pitching in are Lansdale and Welch (top left center), Cecil and Perrin (bottom center) and Rothwell (right, kneeling). Français : Pile expérimentale allemande - Haigerloch - Avril 1945. La légende originale se lit comme suit : Démantèlement de la pile nucléaire expérimentale allemande à Haigerloch, à 50 km au sud-ouest de Stuttgart, avril 1945.
