Skivan sålde i över 3 miljoner exemplar redan första året och Roth fick en stor hit med låten "Just Like Paradise". Efter skivan spelats in lämnade basisten Billy Sheehan Roths soloband. 1989 lämnade även gitarristen Steve Vai bandet.
