Scolelepis fuliginosa[1][2][12] är en ringmaskart som först beskrevs av de Claparède 1868. I den svenska databasen Dyntaxa[9] används istället namnet Malacoceros vulgaris. Enligt Catalogue of Life[13][14] ingår Scolelepis fuliginosa i släktet Scolelepis och familjen Spionidae, men enligt Dyntaxa[9] är tillhörigheten istället släktet Malacoceros och familjen Spionidae. Arten är reproducerande i Sverige.[9] Utöver nominatformen finns också underarten S. f. macrochaeta.[13]
